PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

3 Strength and how I have been developing myself in the past 3 years.

Over the last 3 or 4 years I’ve improved on my skills by developing a routine to practice and have an open mind to take on new skills, and experimenting with old ones. I’ve trained myself to see the world like an artist would, which helps me to create creative pieces with lights and shadows, sometimes giving my work a more realistic or eye-catching look. After all art is suppose to be unique, so I have fun with my imagination and try not to shy away. I try my best to use the online platforms as much as possible, watching videos to learn different techniques, following artist that is much more experience in the art industry, seeking advice, assess my weakness and work on them. I know I am not at my full protentional in art or story writing, but I do believe I am capably and will get there in due time.

    Reflection of Twelve Pillar

The first thing that stood out to me in the book Twelve Pillar is “once a flower blooms, it still needs water and sun to keep it from wilting. The work isn’t over when the color comes out.” It reminds me that not because something good has happened in your life you should relax and stop trying. Instead, you should continue to build on whatever has happen so you are your career can keep flourishing and be great in life. As an artist, I’d say we are filled with wild imagination, trying to figure out ways to bring or make things look alive, but for some reason we often find it hard to imagine our self with a certain goal. Or maybe I should say ME. After reading these four chapters I most definitely know what I will be applying to my life. Long term, midterm, and my short-term goals will soon be penciled down in a book nearby. That way I’ll be able to visualize how I to set, concur and achieve my way to a successful life just like Michael. Chapter 6 “Surround Yourself with The Best People” had me reflecting on the type of friends I keep for sure. Honestly, one of the main things I admire about myself is the fact that I don’t follow crowd or keep a lot of company. These past few years as really thought me a lot about friends and showed me the ones that are meant to be in my life, cutting off people is what I do for a living (laughing, that was a joke). I’ve realized that most of the people I called friends or now what I call my associates. My 3 main ones mean the world to me. We help one another with every and anything and our main topics are success and how to “make the bag” (money) while still figuring out adulting at age 21, and forgetting about the parties every Friday night and hype life. Although we are all not in college, some do work and we all have a main goal which keeps us motivated and going. The quote I take from this chapter is “To attract attractive people you must be attractive. To attract powerful people, you must be powerful. To attract committed people, you must be committed. Instead of going to work on them, go to work on yourself. If you become, you can attract.”
